The Kansas City Irish Fest returns to Crown Center, Aug. 30-Sept. 1. Immerse yourself in the traditions of Ireland with multiple stages of Irish music and dance, menus of traditional Irish and Scottish dining, a vast range of cultural activities and programs that cater to the entire family.

Santa-Cali-Gon Days

In Independence, Santa-Cali-Gon Days returns to Independence Square for a weekend of historically inspired entertainment. Live music, demonstrations of life in 1849, and attractions ranging from a beer garden to a cornhole competition offer a full weekend of festivities, Aug. 30-Sept. 2.

KC Renaissance Festival

The holiday weekend also brings the opening days of the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. Immerse yourself in medieval lore at the annual celebration, featuring daily jousts, a marketplace, faire food, family-friendly activities and more imaginative entertainment. The festival runs select days Aug. 31 through Oct. 14.

Kauffman Stadium at Sunset

With the race for the playoffs officially on, baseball fans can cheer on the boys in blue as the Kansas City Royals start a three-game series vs division rivals, the Cleveland Guardians on Labor Day, Sept. 2. 

T-Mobile Center

Mexican music icon Marco Antonio Solís takes the stage at Kansas City's T-Mobile Center on Aug. 31. "El Buki's" acclaimed Eternamente Agradecido World Tour will delight fans of all ages. 

Are you ready to rock? Grammy-nominated band Glass Animals will bring its 2024 international tour to Bonner Springs’ Azura Amphitheater for an amped-up outdoor show on Aug. 31.

Disney 100

Explore "Disney100," the latest exhibit at Union Station. A tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, the exhibition features 250 artifacts from the Walt Disney Archives, from art used in the development of Sleeping Beauty to Disneyland Park Employee Badge #1.  

Film buffs can catch some of the best short films from the 2024 Sundance Film Festival right in North Kansas City. On Aug. 30, Screenland Armour Theatre is hosting the 2024 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour, a 110-minute program of seven shorts--including three award-winning titles.
